“Radisson Blu hotel, Nagpur – wheelchair accessibility review”
Accessibility rating 5/5: ★★★★★
Radisson Blu is one of the most accessible luxury hotels in Nagpur where wheelchair users can stay.
It is located three kilometers from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport (NAG) and six kilometers from Nagpur railway station.
Address: 7, Wardha Road, Nagpur, India. Pin code 440015.
Cost for a disabled-friendly room: Rs 8000 per night. Rs 1000 for an extra bed. Taxes extra.
Check out my walkthrough and review of their accessible room:
Features the accessible hotel room
There are 214 rooms in the hotel, but only one is disabled friendly. The room has a large king-size bed and there is enough space to add an extra mattress.
Amenities inside the room include a large wardrobe, electronic safe, working desk, 42-inch flat-screen TV, minibar, tea- and coffeemaker, full-length mirror and most important – a wheelchair accessible bathroom.
The bathroom is big enough for a wheelchair to move around easily. The height of the wash basin is low. There is a roll in shower with a foldable seat. The commode has grab bars on both sides.
Overall, I found the hotel completely accessible, the room moderately spacious and the bathroom well equipped for disabled/ wheelchair users.
