A wheelchair-user can thoroughly enjoy going around the Taj Mahal as it is made accessible with multiple ramps. This breathtaking monument is a symbol of Emperor Shah Jahan’s love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
The Taj Mahal in Agra was built more than 367 years ago. It has a distinction of being amongst the seven wonders of the world. Made of white marble, the walls of the Taj Mahal are adorned with carvings embellished with many precious and semiprecious stones.
Check out my video of the Taj Mahal for a first hand experience of accessibility around the campus:
As you would have noticed, I had to navigate through a crowd of tourists on my wheelchair. I don’t think there is ever an off-season when the number of people wanting to see the Taj Mahal will be less 🙂
All the interesting snippets that I have shared in the video are thanks to my tourist guide.
